West Palm Beach Restaurants on The Water

The view from Spruzzo at The Ben

I’m going to be honest with you—waterfront dining in actual West Palm Beach is a bit…limited.

Shocking, I know. For a city that hugs the Intracoastal and stares straight across at Palm Beach, there aren’t as many “toes in the sand, cocktail in hand” spots as you might expect. But! There are a few places where you can sip something cold and stare at the water. Here’s the very short list of West Palm Beach restaurants on the water straight from me, a West Palm Beach local! And luxury travel agent.

The Seafood Bar at The Breakers (Palm Beach)

Yes, it’s technically in Palm Beach, but come on—The Breakers is the landmark. The Seafood Bar sits right on the ocean, with a front-row seat to the Atlantic and a bar literally built out of an aquarium. The food leans classic and coastal—lobster rolls, fresh oysters, local fish—and yes, it’s pricey. But if you’re going to splurge, this is where you do it. Bonus points for the old-school yachting vibes and strong martinis. Personally, I don’t think the views from the bar are that great — you are inside! — but I suppose, if you are looking for a West Palm Beach restaurant on the water, it is better than nothing.

E.R. Bradley’s Saloon (West Palm Beach)

Bradley’s has been holding down the fort at the end of Clematis Street forever. This place is as West Palm as it gets—tropical drinks, open-air dining, and a parade of locals and visitors coming in straight from the docks. The food? Think casual Florida staples: fish tacos, coconut shrimp, and plenty of burgers. You’re here for the view, the scene, and maybe a little live music at sunset. It’s touristy—but in a fun, “this is why we live in Florida” kind of way. Note the building is set back from Flagler a bit so it’s water views at a distance.

Elisabetta’s Ristorante (West Palm Beach)

This one is right downtown along the Intracoastal and delivers serious waterfront views with a side of house-made pasta and Neapolitan pizzas. The outdoor terrace feels like it belongs somewhere in Italy, but the real secret here is Capri, their rooftop bar upstairs. Capri has its own cocktail menu and one of the best water views in the city—especially at sunset. Pro tip: start with a drink upstairs, then head down for dinner. My recommendation would be to call ahead and ask for a table with the best possible view of the water. You may need to sit outside.

Capri Upstairs at Elisabetta’s (West Palm Beach)

If you want water views and a stylish scene, head upstairs to Capri, the rooftop bar perched above Elisabetta’s on Clematis. It’s more cocktails-and-small-plates than full dinner service, but that’s kind of the point — it’s a place to sip a spritz, nibble some prosciutto, and watch the sun drop behind the Intracoastal. The setting is grown-up, the breeze is real, and the people-watching is top-tier. Personally, this is my favorite spot if you are looking for a restaurant on the water in West Palm Beach. You’re higher up so you have better views than at Elisabetta’s.

Treehouse at Canopy by Hilton (West Palm Beach)

Perched on the rooftop of the Canopy by Hilton in downtown West Palm Beach, Treehouse serves up sweeping city and Intracoastal views alongside craft cocktails and elevated bar bites. It’s a buzzy spot, popular with locals and visitors alike, especially during sunset. The vibe here is tropical chic—think cabanas, string lights, and greenery—making it ideal for a casual happy hour or a fun night out. While the menu leans toward light fare (things like tacos, sliders, and shareable plates), most people come for the lively atmosphere and the views that stretch all the way to Palm Beach. Just to be clear — you are not on the beach here. It’s just a view of the intracoastal from the rooftop!

The Ben Hotel Rooftop – Spruzzo (West Palm Beach)

The rooftop at The Ben Hotel is technically called Spruzzo, but most people just say, “Let’s go to the rooftop at The Ben.” It’s perched right above the city marina with panoramic views of the Intracoastal, Palm Beach island, and the yachts below. The vibe is sleek and trendy—think craft cocktails, light bites, and a very photogenic pool. Great for sunset drinks or a low-key lunch with serious scenery. This is a great choice for Intracoastal views but the scene can get scene-y. Thing (classy) bachelorette parties. So…not really on the water, but if you’re looking for West Palm Beach restaurants on the water, this is a great option given the views.

La Marina (West Palm Beach)

Up along North Flagler Drive, La Marina has a front-row seat to the Intracoastal and serves up a surprisingly creative menu—sushi, ceviche, Mediterranean mezze, and grilled seafood. The scene is laid-back but stylish, and it’s a favorite among locals who want waterfront dining without the downtown crowds. Their cocktails are no joke either. This is your go-to for a dinner that feels like a mini-vacation. This is a great option for anyone looking for restaurants on the water in West Palm Beach.

Sailfish Marina Tiki Bar (Technically in Palm Beach Shores—but close enough)

Okay, yes—this one’s barely over the bridge, but it’s too classic to ignore. Sailfish Marina’s Tiki Bar is pure old-school Florida: waterfront picnic tables, frozen drinks, fried fish sandwiches, and a front-row view of boats cruising the Intracoastal. It’s casual, breezy, and exactly what you want after a day on the water.

Al Fresco at Palm Beach Par 3 (Palm Beach)

Perched right between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal, Al Fresco at the Palm Beach Par 3 golf course somehow stays under the radar. The views are unbeatable—golf course greens in the foreground, ocean waves in the distance—and the menu skews Italian-American with fresh seafood specials. It’s a low-key, scenic spot for breakfast, lunch, or an early dinner. This is a very classy spot for anyone looking for restaurants on the water in West Palm Beach.

Mama Mia’s on the Beach (Lake Worth Beach)

A little south in Lake Worth Beach, Mama Mia’s on the Beach is a casual Italian spot that sits right above the sand, looking out over the ocean. Expect hearty pastas, big seafood platters, and plenty of frozen drinks. It’s old-school, unfussy, and the views are fantastic. BUT…it’s still not on the water in West Palm Beach. It’s across the street.

Benny’s on the Beach (Lake Worth Pier)

Benny’s is a total classic—right on the Lake Worth Pier, where you can literally watch the waves crash under your feet. The menu is part diner, part seafood shack: pancakes, burgers, fresh-caught fish, and the occasional lobster roll. It’s casual, it’s sunny, and it’s the kind of place where flip-flops are practically required. Technically, Lake Worth is not West Palm Beach but it’s very close! And honestly, this is probably what most people are thinking of when they are looking for restaurants on the water in West Palm Beach. BUT…it’s still across the street from the beach.

Bottom Line on West Palm Beach Restaurants on the Water

West Palm Beach may not have a lot of true restaurants on the water, but what it does have hits all the right notes—everything from swanky rooftops to old-school tiki bars to laid-back seafood joints where the views do most of the talking. Whether you’re after a sunset martini, a fish sandwich by the docks, or pasta with a side of ocean breeze, you’ll find something that fits the bill. So if you’re looking for West Palm Beach restaurants on the water, hopefully this gives you some inspiration.
